Can Altos reach high notes?

While most of them sing beautifully in the mid-range, altos can hit high notes with their head voice quite often.

What is the difference between 4C and 5C mouthpieces?

The Standard Series 5C alto sax mouthpiece has a slightly more open tip than the 4C. This requires a bit more endurance and control with the muscles around the mouth, but in exchange may produce a bigger and fuller sound.
