Sunday December 13th, 2009 -The Player's Bench had another successful Rock School Showcase at Duke's Alehouse and Kitchen in Crystal Lake. We would like to thank everyone for coming out and supporting our young musicians as they ROCKED THE HOUSE!
The Player's Bench would once again like to thank Duke's for the great venue and hospitality. Also a big thanks to teachers William Sonoda and Bruce Waters.

The Player's Bench is proud to offer Schilke's latest trombone!
This large bore tenor trombone sports a .547" bore with 8.5" hand-hammered yellow brass bell, yellow hand slide bow, and yellow square main tuning slide bow with axial flow valve.

The 17th annual Johnny Appleseed Festival was fantastic this year. The weather was great, and we got to meet a bunch of new music lovers.
Special thanks to our scarecrow team (Angie) for what was quite possibly the scariest scarecrow ever created.

Saturday June 14th, 2009 -The Player's Bench had another successful Rock School Showcase at Duke's Alehouse and Kitchen in Crystal Lake. We had a fantastic turnout, and the students rocked the house! We were so happy to see everyone there supporting the musicians as they did their thing on stage.

Saturday April 18, 2009 - Player's Bench would like to congratulate drum teacher Steve Fagiano for hosting a wildly successful McHenry County College Drum Clinic. Musicians of all skill levels were on hand to display their skills and learn from Steve, and Russ Mehle.

Congratulations to Dennis, a Police Liaison Officer at Jacobs High School in Algonquin. He's the winner of the 2008 Algonquin Police Benevolent Golf Outing Player's Bench Guitar. He LOVES the brand new Alvarez guitar, and word is that he's now contemplating taking lessons. The Player's Bench takes pride in supporting local events and community activities. Thanks to all who participated.
For the second year in a row, The Player’s Bench has won the Scariest Scarecrow Award for the Downtown Crystal Lake Main Street Johnny Appleseed Festival. Competition was tough this year, but we managed to pull it off.
Very special thanks to our scarecrow design team of, well, Angie Young. Thanks Angie, you did it again!
The 16th annual Johnny Appleseed Festival was another huge success. We had a great time, and look forward to seeing everyone again soon.
